MARIA's COMET

Now Available in Paperback!

Maria's Comet takes place in the early 1800s on Nantucket Island. The story is loosely based on the life of Maria Mitchell, America's first woman astronomer, who was the first American woman to discover a comet.  To research Maria's Comet, illustrator Deborah Lanino visited Nantucket and Maria Mitchell's childhood home.  To visit Deborah Lanino's website, click HERE.
